The Summary tab of the Goldmine database will give you a quick look at when the entry was created, who created it, and where the lead came from. This information can be invaluable when it comes to dealing with long time clients and clients that have come as referrals from other clients.
There is also a Referrals tab in the Goldmine database that you can use to keep track of the referrals your clients give you.
