Avidian CEO, James Wong, demonstrates small business success with the founding of three successful companies.
REDMOND, Wash. – May 6, 2009 – Avidian Technologies, a leading provider of CRM solutions, today announced its position as a finalist for the "Red Herring 100 North America" award. Finalists are honored as the year’s most promising private technology ventures in North America.
His current company, Avidian Technologies, is a world leader in Outlook-based CRM software, with a portfolio including Prophet 5, Prophet Mobile and Prophet OnDemand. These products are designed for small- and medium-sized businesses, helping them become more organized with their customer data and give better visibility to sales activities.
Under Wong’s leadership, Avidian has been recognized as one of “Washington’s Fastest Growing Privately Held Companies” three years in a row and has claimed the distinction for the third time as one of “Washington’s Best Companies To Work For.”

Wong has a diverse background, working in several industries. His original plan was to work in New York, get his MBA and start a business. Three successful start-ups later, Wong and his business partner began Avidian Technologies and have grown the company to more than 27 full-time employees and an estimated $3.5 million in revenues.
In addition, Wong has been actively involved in the Chinese American Association for Professionals. In this capacity, he mentors young Asian professionals, particularly those with the desire to start their own business. His willingness to give back, business acumen and support for the community are what set him apart and earned him recognition as the 2009 Minority Small Business Champion of the Year.
