Best Practices Installation help insure that Prophet is successfully setup the first time you install it. BPI Service is available in blocks of consulting hours and can be customized to fit your requirements. The BPI hours agreed upon are detailed in Section 6.1 - Deliverables and Investment Section of this proposal. The following are typically covered during the installation:
Consultation on Hardware Requirements and Configuration
- Discussion on current network infrastructure (client & server, terminal services, remote connection methods, etc)
- Discussion on current hardware (Prophet Server and Clients)
- Discussion of Prophet Server computer requirements
- Discussion on Exchange Server Involvement (if applicable)
Consultation on Best Practices for Prophet Installation
- Installing Prophet Server on an existing or new computer
- Configuration Options on Prophet Server
- Upgrading SQLExpress to MS SQL Server (if applicable)
- Installation of Prophet clients and connecting Clients to the Prophet Server
- Syncing your Main contacts to the Prophet Server Testing and Viewing the Server data
Consultation & Recommendations Relating with Outlook Contacts / Companies Usage
- How contacts are initially sync on the Prophet Server and Clients
- Using existing Outlook Contacts and new Outlook contacts
- Cleansing Contact/Company data (removing duplicate, updating data, etc.) prior to installation
- Moving contacts to a Public Contact folder to centralize (if applicable)
- Moving personal contacts to a sub contact folder or checking private (if applicable)
- Creating public vs. private contacts (private checkbox or sub-folder)
- High level consultation on using the Prophet import templates
- Adding from Prophet (created in the mailbox contact folder of the author)
- Adding from within the Public Contact Folder, auto-syncing with Contact Mgr
- Impact of handheld devices when used alongside Prophet.
