The Prophet Server Edition works in conjunction with Prophet to deliver a full featured and highly customizable sales management solution BUILT INSIDE Outlook for mid to large tier organziations. While Prophet acts as the primary client software for working locally, the Server Edition adds the ability to centrally create, store, update and manage sales opportunities across a network. This allows any member of the sales organization to work with opportunities at home, on the road or in the office and then synch-up with the rest of the team when connected to the network.

The combination of Prophet and the Server Edition is the perfect solution for Outlook based sales organizations that want to add to add sales management to Outlook and need to share the data from several to over a hundred people. Any member of the team can continue to work on their own sales opportunities and then save the data into the master database for central access to updated data across the entire sales team. Prophet automatically looks for the master database and asks to update both the information on the individual’s computer as well as the central server database.

• Share sales opportunity data. Every member of your sales organization using Prophet can create, update and manage sales opportunity on their own computer which will update the central database for others to access, view and update. In addition, you can download and save any opportunity from the central server.
• Share contact data. When using Prophet to access an opportunity, you will have the option to view and/or download all of the contact information associated with the opportunity when used in conjunction with Microsoft Exchange Server.
• Share opportunity tasks. Specific tasks created for individual opportunities can be saved into your Prophet Opportunity Manager task list.
• Share opportunity appointments. Any appointment that is attached to an opportunity, not personal appointments, can be viewed and downloaded by other members of the team.
• Create pipeline and forecast reports for any single sales rep or across all of your team and opportunities. Create a snap shot of your entire pipeline across your team and save to a PDF, HTML, Excel, Rich Text, Text or TIFF file format.
• Work on-line or off-line. Prophet will automatically look for the central server edition when connecting to a network so you can make changes and work offline, then synch to the central server when you log-in to the network.

The system requirements for both Prophet and the Server Edition are extremely low, however Prophet and the Server Edition must reside on separate computers. Microsoft Exchange is NOT required to use Prophet Server Edition. However with Exchange you gain the ability to share not only opportunity data, but email, meeting and task information as well by using the exchange public folders.
