Avidian named as one of the Seattle Mayor’s 2004 Small Business Award winners.
SEATTLE – August 9, 2004 – Avidian Technologies, a software development firm specializing in creating sales management software for users of Outlook and Exchange, has been named as one of the Seattle Mayor’s 2004 Small Business Award winners. Every year, ten small businesses in Seattle receive special recognition for their accomplishments through the Mayor’s Small Business Awards.

Honored for excellence in marketing, management, employee relations and community involvement, the winners of the award represent diversity - in services, size, location and strategies for success. To qualify, the business must have no more than 100 employees and gross revenues of less than $10 million. Since the inception of the awards in 1984, over 200 businesses have won top honors, including Starbucks.
“These small business owners are my heroes,” said Mayor Greg Nickels. “Small businesses are really the economic engines that feed our economy, nourish our neighborhoods and provide the unique flavor that makes Seattle such a great place to live.”
The nine judges involved in this year’s awards included small business owners, previous awards winners and representatives of community development organizations. After a confidential review of 47 nominations and three rounds of deliberation, they selected this year’s winners, who were honored at a special reception at Town Hall in July.
