Three-tier channel strategy reaches out to small- and medium-sized businesses
SEATTLE – October 5, 2004 – Avidian Technologies today announced the launch of the Avidian Business Partner Program for Prophet 2004 and Prophet 2004 Server Edition. The new program gives Avidian business partners tools and resources to expand their offerings to small- and medium-sized businesses in the sales management, contact management and CRM-lite market.

The Avidian Partner Program is divided into three levels and is designed to build a community of resellers, affiliates and consultants to provide sales, support and service to the growing base of users worldwide. Avidian’s new channel program includes the following:
- Avidian Reseller Program - designed for solution providers and system integrators looking to sell and support an Outlook-based sales management solution. This program is suitable for resellers looking to add a lite and low cost CRM solution built for Outlook users to their product offerings.
- Avidian Consultant Program - designed for solution providers, business software and CRM resellers/consultants or independent IT consultants who want to sell, support and consult on Prophet software. Consultant partners provide value-added services in training, configuration, customization and integration with other programs and will have experience in implementing contact management programs.
- Avidian Affiliate Program – designed for independent sales, technology or CRM consultants or companies that want to refer clients to Avidian’s products without the commitment of the other programs. This program is also designed for those companies with affiliate sites in similar markets such as sales automation, consulting or small business coaching who are looking for joint affiliate marketing and linkage.
The benefits of the reseller and consultant programs include an in-house demonstration copy of the Prophet Server software, online training, access to sales and marketing resources, pre and post sales technical support and special margins on software purchases. In addition, the affiliate program benefits include a 15 percent commission on all referrals, access to Web based logos and banners for seamless linking, access to the beta test program and quarterly partner updates.
