Prophet for Palm Version Features

Prophet for Palm will be an add-on to the Prophet Client and Server Edition. A licensed version of Prophet will need to be installed in order to use this application.

This application DOES NOT work on Pocket PC, Blackberry or SmartPhones devices! Soon after this product launches we will be developing Prophet PDA for other devices.

Features:
Prophet PDA’s button and menu-based navigation system lets you:

  • Synch contact, company and opportunity data from Prophet Stand-Alone (or Server), to your Palm.
  • View, create, or edit opportunities.
  • View, create, or edit contacts, as well as removing them from an opportunity.
  • Add notes and tracking history.
  • Add or edit products and services associated with an opportunity (using a list of available choices).
  • Delete products or services associated with an opportunity.
  • View tracking history by opportunity.
  • Schedule tasks and appointments for contacts.
  • Initiate HotSync, so that all the opportunities added or modified using your Palm are synched back to your Prophet Server and/or Stand Alone edition of Prophet.

Prophet for Palm will allow users to select any number of opportunities from Opportunity Manager or Contact Manager’s Opportunities tab and sync the select opportunities to the PALM device. From the device the user is able to make changes to any of the editable fields and those changes will be saved to the PDA.

Once the PDA device is put back into the cradle and the HotSync is initiated, all the opportunities that have been modified or any new opportunities that have been created will sync up to Prophet. If the user has a stand-alone edition of Prophet client, the opportunities will be saved to the local database. If the user is a Prophet client connected to the Prophet Server, the opportunities will be synced to both the local database and server database.

The PALM Operating System versions supported are version 3.5.1 or higher. On older models all the screens will only be in black and white. However, on newer models the screens will be displayed in color.

Navigation on the device can be done via buttons, top left menu or top right menu.
