How to Add an API User

What is an API user?

‘API Users’ are used to enable custom reporting or integrations on your Prophet CRM instance. Custom reports and integrations will use the API User credentials to access the Prophet CRM instance to read data (Custom Reports) or modify datasets (Integrations).

How do I add an API user?

1. Sign into ProphetonDemand.com

Go to Prophetondemand.com and sign in with your credentials. You must be an admin to do this.

2. Select “User Management” and “Configure New User”

3. Complete the information on the “User Properties” Tab

The necessary information is as follows:

  1. First Name: Prophet
  2. Last Name: API
  3. User Role: Administrator
  4. *Email: [email protected][yourdomain.com]
  5. Status: Active
  6. **Department: Any

* The Email should be [email protected] For example, for ABC Company the Email would be [email protected]

**The department field is mandatory, but the selection does not impact API User Functionality.

4. Select “Save”
