Having good data in your contacts is a necessary part of any CRM, and Prophet plays a great role in ensuring that your contact data is easy to use and also accurate. In this guide, we will be explaining how Prophet elevates a few simple parts of Outlook’s contact management system.
Tip #1: Drag and Drop
Outlook in its default form has a very useful drag and drop functionality that makes creating new contacts intuitive and simple. To create a contact from an email in your inbox, click on the email and drag it into the People tab located on the bottom left of your screen.
Tip #2: Duplicate Checking
This will generate a new contact. Prophet will automatically check for contacts with the same name and email. If it finds any matches, Prophet will then display those records.
Tip #3 Drag and drop more to update contact details
The more detailed your contacts are, the more you can do with them. You’ll find far more flexibility in organization and new opportunities down the line if you take the time to fill in descriptors. One easy way to do this is to fill in fields by copying directly from your email notes. In a contact card, you will find a history of your emails with a given individual. You can copy useful information from these exchanges by highlighting and dragging text into the relevant fields like so:
